FRETS presents Hungry Beat concert – schedule / times

Happy New Year, all the best for 2023.

We now have a confirmed schedule for FRETS presents Hungry Beat at the CCA (Glasgow) on Sat 4th Feb. Doors are at 6pm followed shortly thereafter by a panel (Fun N’ Frenzy – details on above poster) discussing the Fast Product / Postcard Records period (1977-84) covered in the Hungry Beat book, more details about the book here – https://store.whiterabbitbooks.co.uk/products/hungry-beat

Restricted Code will follow the panel discussion, performing a set of songs from their period signed to the pop:aural label when they were managed and produced by Bob Last (Fast Product).

The Hungry Beat Group and guest vocalists (listed in the poster at the top of this message) will follow and perform two sets featuring songs by Scars, James King & The Lone Wolves, Jazzateers, Altered Images, Strawberry Switchblade, The Pastels, Boots For Dancing, The Mekons, The Bluebells, Aztec Camera, Vic Godard, Orange Juice, Win, Josef K, The Rezillos.
