HUNGRY BEAT
A book event covering the Fast Product/pop:aural/Postcard independent movement circa 1977-84. An evening of subtle dislocation featuring interviews / readings / and a live performance by The Hungry Beat Group (featuring members of Aztec Camera, The Bluebells, Article 58, Josef K/Orange Juice). Tam Dean Burn, vocalist with original Edinburgh punks The Dirty Reds will give a reading from the book. To get the evening underway, Bob Last (Fast Product and pop:aural) will be in conversation discussing the Fast releases.
