Welcome to www.fretsconcerts.com and our first post. We will be using this Blog section to inform you of new concerts, stage times, as well as other items of interest that we (and hopefully you) find interesting. As you will probably be aware we have just started back at FRETS after 18 months when all of our lives were on hold. September saw two sold out concerts by The Bluebells, and our appreciation of the Strathaven Hotel owners and staff increased yet again with their professional adherence to Scottish Government guidelines related to Covid.
We have a concert by Robyn Hitchcock tomorrow (Friday 1st Oct) ably supported by opening act, Kevin McDermott. Doors are 7pm with Kevin taking the stage at 7.30pm, followed by Robyn at 9pm. There are tickets available, if you are interested in coming along to the Strathaven Hotel for an evening of songwriting and performance, go to the TICKETS section of this website and you’ll be taken to the ticket purchasing link on Eventbrite. Some tickets will be available on the door.
It’s also worth clicking on the posters of any concerts you’d like to attend, again at our TICKETS section, if we have any returns there will be a link to Eventbrite for these tickets.
Today is the last opportunity for contacting FRETS for a refund for tickets for any future concerts, email me at info@fretsconcerts.com today and I’ll organise a refund from Eventbrite. We hope you understand that moving forward we can no longer give refunds (as we have been doing throughout the pandemic), as we have fixed costs involved in bringing these concerts to the Strathaven Hotel and our only income is from ticket sales.

We will be announcing details of a new concert by James Grant early in the new year, Blog subscribers will be first to know.
