THE SKIDS – Scared To Dance

Skids came to the fore as one of the first Scottish punk bands to release on an independent label when their Charles E.P. became a first favourite of John Peel on BBC Radio 1. The group’s singer Richard Jobson (along with guitarist Stuart Adamson) created an original and energetic sound that captured the imagination of the public, resulting in several hit singles and appearances on Top of the Pops.

Skids’ debut album, Scared To Dance, was a stunning and successful debut. It was recently reissued on vinyl by Last Night From Glasgow to much acclaim, more information at this link: https://shop.lastnightfromglasgow.com/products/the-skids-scared-to-dance-2-x-lp-coming-soon

FRETS is really looking forward to hearing Skids singer Richard Jobson perform songs from his back catalogue in cahoots with Goodbye Mr Mackenzie frontman Martin Metcalfe at the Strathaven Hotel on Friday 6th Oct, tickets at the link below (they are selling fast).
