BERNARD BUTLER
Bernard Butler came to prominence in Suede and his guitar and writing were defining features in the success of their first couple of albums. Thereafter he continued with further success with vocalist David McAlmont under the name McAlmont & Butler.
Bernard followed this with success as a solo artist signed to Creation Records, his first album with the label, People Move On, has just been reissued. As a guitarist Butler has worked with Edwyn Collins and Bert Jansch, to name two Scottish artists, and has worked as a writer and producer with artists as varied as Duffy and Altered Images.
There are only a limited amount of tickets left for Bernard Butler, Norman Blake & James Grant performing as a trio at Celtic Connections on 30th Jan 2022, with special guest Monica Queen performing the opening set. FRETS has curated this concert specifically for Celtic Connections, it’s our first concert outwith the Strathaven Hotel.
