Davy Henderson came to the public as a teenager in Fire Engines, who released a classic album (Lubricate Your Living Room) and singles (Candyskin / Big Gold Dream) on Fast Product’s pop:aural label.

Davy then achieved success with Win on major labels (London / Virgin) with their albums, and in particular, their You’ve Got The Power single.

After his experiences beng signed to major labels, Henderson decided he preferred working on independents. Accordingly, his next group – The Nectarine No.9 – released their first two albums on Postcard before releasing another three albums via Creeping Bent (a relationship that endures to the present).

The Sexual Objects was Davy’s next vehicle, releasing singles and albums on Creeping Bent that gained critical kudos from a wide breadth on media (NME – The Guardian – BBC Radio 4 – BBC 6Music). After the release on last year’s Orangutang album, Davy retired the Sexual Objects to start working on a new project, Bubbles (who feature Davy and old Josef K sparring partner Malcolm Ross on guitar along with other group members – Creeping Bent head Douglas MacIntyre and fellow Port Sulphur member Samuel Joseph Smith, and Mackenzies rhythm section Paul Turnbull and Fraser MacCallum).

Bubbles make their live debut at the Glad Cafe on Friday 3rd April.
