Monorail Music is very proud to present an evening in association with Douglas MacIntyre’s much loved Creeping Bent label.
Douglas will be in conversation with Stephen Pastel, explaining the label’s 30 year zigzag journey which is artfully mapped out in his book, Creeping Bent: A Leap Into The Void.
The evening will also feature the live premiere of Bubbles, Davy Henderson’s brand new project. Bubbles includes Davy’s old sparring partner from his Fire Enginesdays, fellow guitarist Malcolm Ross from Josef K. Douglas MacIntyre is retained on guitar from the already missed Sexual Objects, with his Port Sulphur cohort Samuel Joseph Smith on synthesisers. Mackenzies’ rhythm section Paul Turnbull (drums) and Fraser MacCallum (bass) complement the Bubbles line up.
Rounding out the evening, Douglas MacIntyre will perform with his avant-rock freeform ensemble, The Port Sulphur Group featuring Paul Research on electric violin – their set will be improvised and instrumental.
