Hello everyone
On behalf of Simon Community Scotland I’d like to extend a huge thank you to all of you for buying tickets for Saturday’s show in the wonderful Strathaven Hotel.
Your support will help us provide safe places, support and hope to people experiencing homelessness.
I am a big music fan and have attended a number of shows run by FRETS in Strathaven and Glasgow. It’s always a real treat to see songwriters performing up close and in such an intimate setting. Thanks to Douglas and all the team at FRETS and the Strathaven Hotel for being so kind and generous with their time and support.
And thanks to Ricky and his friends David and Gregor for playing to help raise funds and awareness. It’s been a real pleasure meeting with Ricky and Lorraine over the last few years and they have visited a number of our hubs and supported accommodation services, which has been brilliant for our team and for people we support.
We’ll have a small information stand/table on the night and will be selling tickets for a few AMAZING raffle prizes! Winners will be drawn on the night. Tickets are £10 a strip and I hope you’ll agree that the chance to win one of these prizes is worth a tenner. We have a few confirmed, but you never know, we might get a couple more.
PRIZES
STAR PRIZE – a pair of tickets to one of Deacon Blue’s hometown shows at the Hydro, complete with a meet and greet with the band!
OVERNIGHT AT THE HILTON – a room for 2 at the Hilton Glasgow (William Street) on 10th October. One of the nights Deacon Blue play the Hydro and also world homeless day.
DINNER FOR 2 AT EUSEBI’S – dinner for 2 in the lovely Eusebi’s Deli in Woodlands Glasgow. Tie it in with Deacon Blue at the Hydro, or any time you choose.
