Michael Head’s 2017 album (Adios Señor Pussycat) was the album that introduced The Red Elastic Band and received the usual critical plaudits. However it was the 2022 album Dear Scott that finally saw Michael combine critical acclaim with commercial success, reaching number 6 in the UK Album Chart and receiving a 5-star review in MOJO and a 4-star review in The Guardian. Loophole was released earlier this year and hit number 10 on the UK Album Chart, heartening to see the public catching up with one of music’s best kept secrets.
Michael Head will be in concert at FRETS this Friday 6th Sept performing a rare solo show. Belle and Sebastian’s Stevie Jackson will be the opening artist, he’ll also be performing a solo show of some of his B&S songs. Tickets on sale at this link:
