Michael Head – Waterpistol

Michael Head’s unfortunate luck after the demise of Pale Fountains continued with Shack. The songs were incredible, the recordings were great, but the bad luck was monumental. The story of how their ‘lost’ album Waterpistol was eventually released on Hamburg’s independent record label Marina sums up the misfortune that seemed attendant to the Shack story, described here in The Guardian.

FRETS is very much looking forward to Michael Head returning to the Strathaven Hotel on Friday 6th Sept to perform a rare solo concert. His previous two concerts at FRETS sold out, there aren’t many tickets left for this show. Tickets are available at this link, Belle and Sebastian’s Stevie Jackson will be performing a solo set as the opening artist, which will include songs from his B&S catalogue.
